Flint River Ranch Cat & Kitten Litter With over 12 months of test results, Flint River Ranch is ready to start production on an all-natural, environmentally safe, Cat & Kitten Litter made from wood fiber. It is designed to reduce weekly litter costs and protect cats from harmful clay ingestion. Wood fiber litters have been around for about 10-12 years in some form - pellets, sawdust and/or shavings. Pine pellets : quickly disintegrates to powder and has to be changed in 2 or 3 days. To offset this - pellets are often made large and hard which won't absorb urine. Most cats don't like these big, hard pellets - and the strong pine odor is offensive to many cats. INNOVATIVE MANUFACTURING PROCESS Customers that are familiar with our oven-baked kibble dog food will immediately appreciate the cat litter manufacturing process. A combination of clean, "kiln-dried", hard and soft wood fibers are used. Like most wood litters, the fibers are compressed into a long pellet form - then - through a second innovative process - these pellets are "cracked" to produce smaller, softer shaped sponge-like pellets. This creates a larger surface area that is super absorbent and extends the useful life of the cat litter. It absorbs liquid 2 ½ to 3 times higher than leading brands of clay litter and is more economical to use. Five pounds equals 15 pounds of clay. The sponge-like surface area and the use of the hardwood blend inhibit the litter from "melting into sawdust" too quickly and extends the life up to 3 to 4 weeks. You will never smell cat urine again when the litter is used as directed. It will absolutely neutralize cat urine and you will be delightfully surprised at the lack of odor. Solids are quickly dried.
Directions: Simply place one inch of Flint River Ranch cat litter in the pan, instead of the usual 3 inches of clay based litter. This allows the cat to move it around. Scoop and flush solid waste daily. The moisture in the urine will evaporate: and so will the smell. When cats do urinate - do not touch the litter - do not stir, smooth or remove damp litter. If your cat hesitates or refuses to use the litter pan place about one inch of the litter normally used on top don't mix. In a short time, the cats will readily use the Flint River Ranch litter. However, we do acknowledge there is a small percentage of cats which will not use the litter.
